Pacolli: Only when truth is accepted can peace be lasting

First Deputy Prime Minister Behgjet Pacolli has said that no one more than the US as Kosovo's eternal friend is hardened with the suffering of persons who experienced the horrors of war in Kosovo.

He writes in a Facebook post that the truth of the time is above any time deviations.

Only when the truth is accepted can we believe that lasting peace has replaced traumatic tendencies”, writes Pacolli.

Kosovo diplomatic head comments come after the US Embassy in Pristina has expressed condolences to the families of victims from the war in Kosovo.

Kosovo commemorates the 20th anniversary of war atrocities, the US Embassy expresses sincere condolences to the families of the victims. Denial of atrocities offends memories of victims, traumatizes families even more, and undermines progress in building a democratic and multiethnic state”, it says among other things in the statement.
