Ekrem Imamoglu, the candidate of the opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) for Istanbul mayor, declared today that recounting votes from local elections in Turkey's largest city has ended in part.
He has made it known that the difference between him and Binaly Yildirim, from the Justice and Development Party (AKP) of President Recep Tayip Erdogan, is about 20,000 votes.
Imamoglu said the recount ended in 9 out of Istanbul's 10 administrative circles.
