A woman from the United Arab Emirates could gain her consciousness after spending 27 years in a vegetative state.

Munira Abdulla was 32 years old when she was suffering from a traumatic brain injury after the car being driven by a relative was hit by a bus in 1991.

But last year after a rehabilitation in Germany, she began to voice as if she were trying to call her son Omar, having heard him arguing in her hospital room.

A few days later, she whispered his name for the first time in a few decades, and now she's capable of saying dove and having conversations with her boyfriends.

Omar found out about his mother's recovery in an interview for The National, saying that “was flying with joy” when she started talking again, it translates Periscope.

He then related how the accident had occurred, and he himself had been four years old.

In April of last year, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed had heard about her case and had paid for her to heal.
