Environment and Spatial Planning Minister Fatmir Matoshi, on the occasion of International Workers' Day, May 1st, appeals to citizens not to repeat the practice of burning tires and other environmentally polluting items.
Minister Matosi has officially called on the municipalities and police of the Republic of Kosovo to take measures to prevent such negative phenomena and against those who act contrary to the rules to pronounce the Conform Administrator Guide measures No.06/2018 for punishments with Jobat Mandator and in accordance with the legislation in force.
The Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning warns punishments for all who light tires. The law on air protection strictly prohibits burning tires. Also, the Administrator Guide for Punishment of Joba Mandatore strictly prohibits burning tires, or the punishment for burning tires is 100 euros.
The burning of open - air tires frees dioxin and other dangerous substances that cause serious health problems, such as respiratory organs, lung cancer, harms the skin by causing many other health problems.
The lighting of such fires carries with it great consequences to the environment. Continuing such a practice is pointless and harmful to the environment, health and image of the Republic of Kosovo.
Firing fires has threatened human life and health, private and social wealth, and has degraded our environment as well as in poor condition.
The Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning warns the condemnation of all those who light tires for this day, as on any other day.
