Kosovo Telekom chief Bedri Istrefi has promised he will not allow nepotism within this institution.
Whatever I can say, I promise you publicly here that I'm managing, that I'm the manager of this public company, I won't allow any family employment, no employment that has ties with politics”
Istrefi in an interview in the Bzone also said Kosovo Telecom currently has financial difficulty, however, potential for stability.
“E have announced to the prime minister that Kosovo Telecom does not go bankrupt. It has enormous space to become leader again”.
He also spoke of comments concerning Kosovo Telekom, saying the attacks on this company do not harm anyone.
The “is clearly seeing that such a vicious campaign against Telekom does no one a favor. If we get involved in this form it's impossible to become a business”.
It's no one's interest to blackmail Telekom with propaganda. Today, Telekom is under threat not only but also directly national security interests”.
Police service, AKI, the airport-story, emergency call center, firefighters... all receive services from Kosovo Telecom. What if all these services go down? What needs to happen in this country to put national security interests” at risk.
