Kosovo flag appears at Russian stadium, Russia's MPJ reacts (FOTO)

Russia's Foreign Affairs Ministry has announced that the appearance of Kosovo's flag in a match at the “Ahramat Arena” in Grozni, Russia, was a technical mistake.

Kosovo's flag appeared at the “stadiumAhmat Arena” on March 30th, in the match between two Russian clubs -- Ahmat and Spartacus -- in the town of Grozni.

“The flag of the so-called Republic of Kosovo was on display at Ahmat Arena Stadium. We've let the authorities know about this case in the Chechnya Republic. It is unacceptable to use the symbols of unknown states on Russian territory”, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.

“We are considering this incident as a technical error. Russia's stance on Kosovo independence has not changed”.

The stadium in which the Kosovo flag was found is home to the Akhamt Grozni club, where Kosovo national team's midfielder Bernard Berisha currently plays. In addition to him, Bekim Balaj and Odysse Roshi are Albanians playing this team. /Periscopi/
