Over 95 percent of schools in Kosovo are not respecting the deal reached weeks ago between the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MASHT) and municipal directors for replacing hours lost during the education strike.
Two weeks after reaching this agreement, only a small number of schools have replaced Saturday hours. Much of it is obeying the decision issued by the Steering Council of the United Education, Science and Culture Union (SBASHK) under which the hours are not replaced, writes today “Koha Ditore”.
The SBASK has put on a condition that if, in the wage law, the primary teachers, psychologists, teachers and school secretaries were established, at the end of the school year, only one week will be replaced.
On April 15th, Minister Shyqiri Bytyqi and the chairman of the Collegiam of municipal education directors, Besim Avdimitaj, after the meeting held in August had pledged that all lost hours would be replaced.
