The return of over 100 Kosovo citizens from Syria to Kosovo is seen as an extremely dangerous act by some parties, which are represented in the French Parliament.
In a reaction issued yesterday by the rightist party ébout Le Franceé of Nicolas Dupont-Ayn, it is said to condemn such an act taken by Kosovo authorities, as Kosovo according to them continues to remain a high-risk country in terms of terrorisation.
This party recalls that in 2018, authorities in Pristina had announced they have arrested four citizens who had planned attacks on France and Belgium and against international peacekeeping missions in Kosovo.
“The France condemns this decision of a country in which the risk for terrorism remains high. In October 2018 Pristina had announced that it has arrested four Islamists who planned attacks in France, Belgium, as well as against the international peacekeeping mission in Kosovo. The security risk remains high and very present in a tense place. This country is in negotiations with the European Union, for visa removal, and that is a bad signal sent to Europeans”, the Express broadcasts in response.
According to them, the decision to return from Syria all those citizens also sends a bad signal towards Europe, as Kosovo is already awaiting visa liberalisation.
This, according to them, is because Kosovo rejects any consultation with the countries of the European Union on the issue of jihadists and the security of the old continent.
“Today, Kosovo refuses any consultation with the European Union for the future of jihadists and the security of the continent”, the French rightist party's response reported.
Debout Le France) even calls for France to strongly oppose the European Parliament and the European Union, any action in favour of Kosovo's accession.
France's “position is determined to strongly reject the European Parliament and the European Union for any action in favour of Kosovo's EU accession”, the Express reported.
According to them for all these years, Kosovo's approach policy has failed because Kosovo has not shown improvement in many areas, including rule of law and other issues.
In the end, they call for an end to the process of integrating the Republic of Kosovo into the European Union, which in 2011 was supported by Laruent Wauquiez, Secretary of State for European Affairs at the time and supported by many MPs.
The return of these citizens from Syria has come after the U.S. call.
Meanwhile, many European Union states, including France, are refusing to do so.
