If conditions of the British Football Federation are met, England will return to the southern coast for the first time since 2002, when they play against Kosovo on September 10th.
The news comes as part of the FA's plans to allow the national team to play in stadiums all over the country, profiting from successful matches while Wimbledon is being built, Periscopi broadcasts.

In the last official match at the Southampton Stadium 17 years ago, England equalled 2-2 against Macedonia. The capacity of the stadium is 32,505 seats.
Last year England played friendly matches at Leeds Stadium Eland Road and the Leicester City Kinging Power Stadium.
Three Lions will play out of the Wembleys for the first time in 17 years in an official match, as Bernard Challands will face them. /Periscopi/
