Albania's acting foreign affairs minister, Gent Cakaj, has enjoyed a highly privileged position by the Protocol, as it is ranked in the first row in the celebration of NATO's 70th anniversary.
Minister Cakaj is seen next to US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, as well as near NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
Cakaj, in addition to this summit, also met with American Congress Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who expressed US support for Albania's EU membership.
Meanwhile last night, Cakaj also had a meeting with US vice president Mike Pence, with whom the topic of discussion has been the relationship between the US and Albania, and Albania's commitments within NATO.
