The head of the Parliament said corruption has begun to become psychological within families, causing the state to crisis confidence.
Unrefunding and trying to question trust in the state, we will not tolerate and respond properly. Action and steps will be taken to build policies and issue strict laws that have never been seen in Kosovo”, Veselin stressed.
He reiterated that there would be severe penalties for the latest cases of nepotism.
Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri, meanwhile, considered the changes to the Law for property statements, under which the number of officials who will declare wealth has doubled.
The double of this list will increase transparency and strengthen accountability to citizens”, said Minister Tahiri.
Shaip Havolli, director of the Anti-Corruption Agency, said the Kosovo Parliament and the Ministry of Justice have made valuable contributions to the development of this agency.
He said that the meeting discussed the agency's role, work and challenges, achievements this year and implementation of the new anticorruption Law, but also other related laws.
