The true story of Hercules: It was more brutal and more tragic than the popular version.

Greek Half-Mr. Herakles, or as he was known most by his Roman name, Hercules served as an inspiration for some epic films or serials of adventure. We have seen Hercules face many trials and difficulties in overcoming Hades' anger. Classical account of the hero's journey contains a love of [...]

The classic account of the hero's journey contains unconditional love, help with friends, and impossible obstacles to overcome.

His opposition ends with morality, that endurance and hardship lead to righteousness and the triumph of good. Even the original myth comes with a certain morality, and was worshiped by the Greeks and Romans. According to this myth, Hercules suffers as humans do, but he has godly traits. He was in appearance like any human but endowed with superpowers, what he teaches that even heroes suffer

This was aimed at showing that human tragedies are justified, and possible to be overcome, as even half-witnesses suffer the injustices of everyday life. The film version of the Hollywood company “Disney”, although well based on myth, leaves out some very terrible and tragic parts of the hero's journey.

In the famous version of the film, Hercules' father, Zeus, is portrayed as a loving God. His mother, Hera, also appears as a woman and a compassionate mother. The reality of this myth is quite different. Zeus was a cruel and immoral tyrant. Besides terrorizing the dead, he did not hesitate to use violence to get what he wanted.

He was not willing to have an official partner, so Hercules himself was an illegal child. His real mother was a woman named Alcmen, whom Zeus deceived by sleeping with after he had taken the look of her husband, Amphitri n.

So Hera despised Hercules from the day he was born. She first called two witches to prevent his birth. When that didn't work, he sent two snakes to drown him in his cradle. Hercules demonstrated his strength, and although he was a child, he was able to drown snakes and protect himself.

As he grew and his strength grew, Hera became increasingly angry. She tried to destroy him any way possible. His love story with Megara was unhappy. In the movie, Megara is represented as an assistant to Hades, and gradually falls in love with Hercules.

She abandoned her master, and opposed his wishes to destroy Hercules. Their love story ends with Hercules willing to sacrifice his life for him, saving him from underground, and finally gaining his deserved status. In the original myth, Megara is his first wife to give him three sons.

He's sickened Hercules with an uncontrollable madness, and in one of his strong nervous crises he kills his wife along with their children. After coming to his senses and understanding what he had done, he felt great regret, an apology that accompanied him for the rest of his life.

Even his second love story has no happy ending. His wife, Deianira, accidentally killed him using a deadly poison. She was deceived by a centaurs named Ness, who gave her a poisoned shirt to give her husband if she noticed that his eye began to wander.

Unawarely, she followed the advice, insisting that Hercules wear her gift. But within a few moments, his skin became irritated and began to erode. Hercules created himself a hole of wood to help himself die faster. Deianira, overcome by guilt, commits suicide.

Pegas was not even the friendly companion of Hercules. Contrary to what is shown in the film, in the original myth, Hercules had no connection with Pegas. While Pegas existed in mythology, he was the friend of another hero, Belerophone.

Unfortunately, he wasn't also a mythical gentle horse. His history of origin is even more grim. He reportedly came out of the massacred neck of Medusa. There are many other aspects of Hercules' life that have been left out or that have been decorated in the most fun versions of history.

For example, these include his battles for the atonement of his murder, committing his 12 famous trimers, one of which was the murder of Hydra. But as expected, in the original myth he killed Hydra using much more violence than the film version of “Disney”./ Alexander Dantzer/
