For women and children in the Shelter.
Very dear.
We are delighted to announce that during Flea Market in Termokis we have raised a total of 570 euros for women and children in shelters.
Thank you so much for coming to the Flea Market and giving what you can for women and children in the shelter.
After contacting housing in Kosovo, we have decided that the collected money will go to the Mitrovica Shelter after we have been told that some basic things are missing for operation. With the collected money, we have bought food products (well, oil, rice, potatoes and other vegetables, sugar, funp, spices, silt products, tea, coffee, etc.), hygienic products (derns, shampoos for hair, dishes and hands, toilet cleaning products, kitchens, soap, etc.) and wood for heating the Safe House.
A very special thanks goes to Meridian Express, who has supported our initiative with 200 euros in extra free purchases. We are very grateful to Meridian Express that as a local company, it is an example of corporate Social Responsibilities.
Side note: The Kosovo Assembly has made the decision that the Women's and Children's Homeplaces will be funded 100% by the state. The decision is not yet ongoing and it is not known that even as long as women and children in shelters continue to face lack of basics. Our initiative covers about three months for the Safe House in Mitrovica.
Thank you so much!
