Kosovo Statistics Agency (ASK), for the first time, has measured the unsaw economy in Kosovo, including four sectors: transportation, hotels, construction and restaurants.
The construction sector has been measured for 2017, and in the other three sectors, measurements have been made for the third quarter 2018.
According to the survey, about 34% of businesses deal with other land transportation of travellers, about 31% of businesses act as taxis, as long as 29% of businesses carry freight roads and 6% deal with urban and periphery land transport.
In the hotel sector, about 47% of the rooms are with one bed, 41% with two beds, 7% with 3 and more beds, 4% are apartments, 0.1% are residence and another 1%.
The average number of permanent workers in the surveyed hotels was slightly higher in July on average, 5.97 people, and August 5,93 compared to September, which averaged 5.73 persons.
In the restaurant sector, the most frequent activities were grass, caffeine (44%), fast foods (34%); restaurants 31%; and clubs (1%).
More than half of the businesses that were part of this survey reported that the business unit in which they operate their economic activity is rented, about 54%, about 35% of businesses reported that the business unit belongs to them, regardless of their location, while 12% of businesses operate in a unit that is part of their home.
In the construction sector, a common business reported that about 89% of the value of the works performed in 2017 belongs to the new construction category, about 7% belong to small maintenance and repair categories and 4% major repairs to existing construction.
