According to generations-to-generation confessions, weather changes at the beginning or at the end of March are linked to “the age rate”.
In some parts of the country, this myth is remembered early in the month when March borrowed February days, which explains why February is the shortest month.
For other countries, it is remembered on the last two days of March.

According to Albanian legends, the old lady had gone to the mountain to pasture the cattle and, looking at the warm and sunny weather, said: “Now I'd feed for cattle, and to fuck the winter”.
At this moment, March said: “In short, my brother, give me three days to borrow an old woman with everything.
Shortly thereafter, it got so cold that I got old and froze with all the cattle on the mountain, turning into a rock.
Mount Tomorr is where the old woman froze with her livestock from the days she borrowed the month of March.
The legend even says that there is a stone in that place today, as in the form of a Plaka, where water is to this day, said to be the tears of Placa.
Thus came the legend of the so - called”Plates of Mars”, which is now used as a metaphor for sharing the winter season with that of spring, between March 14th and April 14, where April 14th, according to legend, marks the arrival of the season of flowers.
This legend is known throughout the Balkans.
Regardless of how true it is, the <x0mmite of Plaka” is still used today, and metereologos acknowledge that the three closing days of March according to the “ala Turkish” calendar have brought cold and rainfall weather.
And April always comes with good weather.

The history of the cold days of March, however, has several versions, and below are some of the main ones, in shorter versions.
- It's March.
Time warms. An old woman takes her livestock to graze her on the mountain. Satisfied with warm weather, the old woman says: “Dimer, you took the evil from me, threw it away this year. ”
Winter hears it and sends snow and hurricanes, and freezes the old lady to the top of the mountain. -
The March plates are seven.
Seven elders took the wool of the cattle, and went out into a valley to spin it.
Talking to each other, one of the elders made songs to the month of Mars, saying that now the winter was blown away and he (Maris) was taking the wrong. The song was sung by all elders in a row. Mars listened to them and froze them seven.
They say old people are solidified, and every year in March it rains a lot seven days in a row, and there's snow in the mountains.
- From the north, they say that millerze (the bird's kind) celled the birds since March.
Happy with her warm time, she too began to curse March: The mullice the birds hatched, march us evil Mars Calley...
This month Mars was frozen with birds in its nest. The number of the miller with her chicks is seven, corresponding to the number of elderly.
This refers to an eloquent twinning. Elders and millers were also in black. Black - collared witches and black - feathered millers. - When the old ladies told him to March, “took evil”, March got so angry that it said short (or April) my brother, give me two days' loan, dry the old ladies with all the... ”
