Earth's clock, which is an organization of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), invites all people to shut off their lights and electrical equipment this evening at 20:30 local time.
Earth's clock had its starting point in 2007 in Sydney, Australia. At the time, lights were turned off at 2.2 million homes and businesses for an hour with the aim of giving global attention to alarming environmental issues.
Lights will also be turned off in the world's most famous buildings or monuments.
