According to a State Department report, Mrs. Madison will meet with Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, Kosovo Police officials, the Ministry of Justice, Correcting Service and members of civil society, to promote justice reform and law enforcement in Kosovo.
It will speak at a ceremony where equipment will be donated that will significantly increase the law enforcement skills at the Kosovo Legal Medicine Agency.
Before going to Kosovo, Mrs. Madison will head an American delegation that will participate in the 62nd meeting of the Danish Narcotic Drugs Commission. At the meeting, the United States will seek increased action from various countries to control the illegal synthetic drugs that are fueling the current US opium crisis.
The US State Department fights drug trafficking, international crime and corruption worldwide, helping governments and civil society build strong, stable and honest societies that fight interstate crime and destabilisation, which threaten American security.
