Did they miss the colors of reality? These are photographs in 1999 and 2019

A regular Periscop reader has sent several pictures that reflect several different locations in 1999 and today.

This is Peja in 1999, when Albanian citizens are seen clustered at the corner while two Serb paramilitaries with automatic arms in their hands look at them.

This is the same place in 2019.

This is Prizren in 1999, which looks like a beautiful picturesque village.

And this is Prizren in 2019, with the riverbed fixed but with a more ugly view.

This is a part of Gjilan in 1999, where it is seen as welcoming the arrival of KFOR troops. There are several inscriptions in one of which says God bless America”, then in another “Madelene Albright is our mother” and the last one that can be misread in English “klinton are king of the world”.

Same view in 2019, but less color.

This is Pristina destroyed in 1999. Where there's more to the sight of a few people walking around and a car with three opened doors.

This is Pristina in 2019.
