According to the website changing the names of Albanians to Turkish names: Mahmut, Muharrem, Reshat, Tahir isn't called assimilation. The medalling of Albanian schools by Turkey, according to the hoxa, is not asimimimation, nor is the conversion of religion absorption.
By 1913 all Muslim Albanians have been called Turks because of Islamic religion.
Hoxha calls Sultan Mehmed Fetih a rescuer, while Turkey itself calls the conqueror because the title "Fetihh" by Turkish means humiliating and not liberating.
