This is the street that Wirginia Szmyt, 80-year-old Polish girl who transforms every Monday night into “Dy Wika”.
She plays in the nightclub “Hula Kula”, in Warsaw, a bar that awaits up to 1,000 people. Among many of its fans, there are many pensioners who retreat from the pace of Grandma DJ.
When I'm surrounded by music, my brain works”, says 80-year-old, “and I keep learning”.
She, who has worked as a teacher all her life, has left her seat to become consul and now fights stereotypes, inviting her peers not to act like elders.
Its message is that life does not end when it reaches 70 years of age; rather, it always feels young and does not reveal its age at all. Maybe it's rock credit. /oranews
