again unhappy surgeons demand salaries as much as judges

Last Saturday, the Kosovo Assembly adopted the new Law for the Salaries. And one of the categories that has mostly benefited are health professionals. Under the New Law on Salaries, expert doctors will now be paid 1,200 euros a month in gross standard salary of approximately 600 as wide as it was now. With these [...]
With these salaries, Kosovo surgeons have the highest salaries compared to their colleagues in the region.
But despite that, that figure is not enough for QKUUK) surgeons, who have been on strike for a month. They say the strike will continue until their demands are met, subsequently, the establishment of the cofficiency.
Health Minister Uran Ismaili called it historic on Saturday when Kosovo's Assembly adopted the New Law for Pay under which doctors would increase monthly revenues from 600 to 1,000 euros and 200 euros.
But it seems that surgeons are looking at the decision on wages from Ishmael.
They don't intend to stop the strike, which they've started for seven weeks now until their demand is met, pay increases in the 10.
So stated on Monday, Arber Morina, a surgeon, simultaneously representative of the QKUK College of Surgery.
Kosovo's “Since the Parliament, in its vote on the Bill for the Salaries, has not taken into account our demand for increased cofficiency of courts and prosecutors, which we consider is a modest and based on the criteria under which they are indexed”, the surgeons' Collegiaum claims.
In addition, they say that no strikes will cease until the implementation of requirements, as they say to regulate the cofficiency, and in comparison they have taken over the chief state prosecutors, who are ranked at the conference 10.
“We continue the strike at the same request and will not interrupt it until its realisation”, says the statement of the Professional College of Surgeons and other SchKKUKUCH specialists.
And with the surgeons strike, the Federation of Health is not being reconciled. Blerim Syla, chairman of this union, said there is no comment on the strike, which despite wage hikes are continuing with QKUKA surgeons.
Syla had long ago said that the cofficiency 10, implies the salary of up to 4 thousand euros, does not belong to Kosovo standards, as the average salary in Kosovo prior to the adoption of the 2019 budget was about 170 euros.
However, the health strike was initially organised by the Federation of Health Union on December 26th last year and lasted only 72 hours. Afterwards, Federation of Health Union Chairman Blerim Syla after meeting with government officials had paved the way for social dialogue, ordering the strike to be halted. But that requirement has not been joined by surgeons, who began the strike on December 17th and despite calls for a break in the strike, they are still continuing.
Meanwhile, on the basis of the new cofficient, medical specialists will now be paid 1,200 euros of gross wages per month, up from nearly 600 as wide as they are now.
But until the time of this salary arrives, doctors and all other servants whose salaries were raised will have to wait several months.
One of the amendments adopted yesterday says the decisions took effect full of nine months after publishing decisions in the official Kosovo Parliament newspaper.
Therefore, rising wages will come only at the beginning of the last quarter of this year.
