It comes days after Trump announced emergency situations to avoid Congress and provide funds for the project, which was the main promise of the campaign. The Democrats have promised to contest the “decision using any possible” tool.
California's chief prosecutor, Xavier Becherra, has said the Democrats are suing Trump to block the abuse of power of President”.
The indictment handed down to the tribunal Monday is intended to reach an order to stop Trump from declaring the state of emergency.
