Tirana on Thursday ratifies protocol for Macedonia in NATO

Albania's Assembly on Thursday is expected to ratify the Protocol for Macedonia's NATO membership.

Chief Prime Minister Gramoz Ruci after meeting with Macedonia's charge d'etat in Tirana, said Albania, as it has promised, will be among the first countries to ratify the protocol.

The Albanian government, according to Ruci, has already approved the decision, which has reached the Assembly and will be ratified with accelerated procedure.

The first possible date for this ratification is next week's session, February 14th. Despite the sometimes polarised political climate in Albania, all political groups in the Assembly have expressed positive political will for the ratification of the North Macedonia Membership Protocol in NATO”, Ruci said. /Alsat
