In a few hours, the legal deadline for signing the Law of Salaries expires on the part of the Kosovo president.
Parliament Secretary Ismet Krasniqi has confirmed to KTV that the legal deadline for signing this law ends at midnight, and that by the end of the schedule, they have not received a letter from President Thaci.
Despite several hours' insistence, Presidential Office Media Officials Adil Behram and Artan Behrami have not responded to KTV's interest in the president's move.
Kosovo's constitution envisions the law entering into force unless the president returns or signs it. That happens after his publication in the Official Journal.
Kosovo Constitution, Article 80 ʹ approval of the Laws, among other things, says that “if the president of the Republic of Kosovo, within eight (8) days after taking the law, makes no decision to declare or return it, the law is considered declared without its signing and published in the Official Journal”.
