“A is OK to beat a Nazi?
The video from the impact spread quickly online, and became part of a heated debate.

But while some welcomed the blow, others thought otherwise.
But here's what Slavoy Zizek, the renowned Slovenian philosopher, thinks.
No! If there's violence, then I'm for a Ghanaian violence, passive. I made a statement once, maybe you know it cost me a lot. I said the problem with Hitler was that it wasn't violent enough. But in the same sentence, I said that Gandhi was more violent than Hitler. All Hitler's violence was jet violence. He killed millions of people, but the ultimate goal was to maintain the system as was German capitalism and so forth, while Ghandi really wanted to bring down the British state. But his violence was symbolic - peaceful demonstrations, general revolts, and so forth.
If someone speaks like an idiot in his word [Richard Spencer], you should just ignore him. If you get hit, take it back. Don't even take it as a person. He's the type of violence I call for. Not physical violence. Because, you know, people say physical violence is even worse, but don't underestimate physical violence. Something happens when you move towards physical violence. I'm not saying we should all say hi. But be brutal on another level. When you meet a guy like the one who got hit, act in a way that even the kick was good for him. /Periscopi
