Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has called Prime Minister Rama's calls for Albania's eventual union with Kosovo unacceptable.
According to her, official Moscow has not changed its position towards Kosovo's problem, believing that a proper solution should be made in the interest of the Serbian people and international law under Serbia's laws, the indexonline writes.
Edi Rama's “Declarations are unacceptable. We call on the West, respectively, the EU and NATO to react to these statements and geopolitical plans”, the Russian diplomacy spokeswoman has indicated.
“We thought there was some mistake in translating, but we checked it several times”, she said, adding that such statements undermine stability and exacerbate confidence in the region and the Balkans, as well as complicate dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.
Otherwise, Prime Minister Edi Rama in a TV interview has said joining Kosovo is Plan A.
<x) I imagine joining as a process that takes place in the XXI century with the tools of this century and not with the tools of past”, it has been expressed.
