Numerous citizens have signed the petition through each voice against the possibility of building hydropower plants in Lumbardh.
The PDK in Pec reports that it will continue for the next few days with the collection of signatures on the part of citizens to strongly oppose any efforts that will come from anyone who would damage the environment in Pec.
The AAKA branch in Pec has also emerged against the construction of hydrochrals.
From the water flow of Peja's Lumbard is being planned to produce alternative energy with the construction of a hydropower plant, similar to that of Decani.
A government inter-ministerial commission, made up of some ministries, has again undertaken the initiative to build hydropower plants on the Lumbardshi bed.
This commission plans to certified a foreign investor from Austria, which will invest 97m euros in the project.
Against this investment is the municipality of Peja, which had prevented its implementation in 2013.
According to Engelbert Zefajt, spokesperson for the Peja municipality, the municipality has not been aware of reactualisation of this project, which, he says, this time can't stop even Chairman Gazmend Muhhajeri.
They are also citizens who say that a natural beauty they have always exploited should not be destroyed.
Civil society in this municipality is also opposed to this project.
