The large number of tests done have also caused problems for the machines. While diagnostic testing is very necessary through which colon cancer is detected, patients must wait months to do so.
This is because for more than six months, the list of patients waiting for endoscope at the QKK's Gastroenterology Clinic is over. While confirming this, the director of this Zaim Gashi clinic has said that “Zerin” that because of the large number of examinations that are conducted there are times when the equipment is in trouble.
We have a gastroscope and a coloscope that are working a little bit with some problems that are common, that is, when hard work is done because of the load. It's working right now, but with a camera, so the waiting list is getting longer. The waiting list is more than six months. We have nothing different with a camera. About 20 endoscopes a day. When the time needed for disinfectation is calculated, it is calculated to the extent that it must be worked to increase the number of patients. We're working as hard as we can, and as time is promising us”, he said.
Gashi has indicated that reference to patients from regional hospitals to this clinic has influenced waiting lists to extend even longer, writes Express.
