LDK chief Isa Mustafa has clarified through a Facebook status on what they talked to Thaci last night:
Full announcement:
Last night I met President Thaci at my house. He sought to inform me, as the chairman of the largest political party, of the demands, but also of warnings of measures, very serious, towards Kosovo, declared by the top US delegation.
I told her my concern and the LDK about the situation in which the ruling coalition has brought the country. I asked the president to give up his orientation and political disinformation for border correction in order to create a normal environment for dialogue and avoid fear of dialogue. That the LDK will in no way agree to dialogue for territory, because it leads to re-opening citizenship. I also stressed that it is the responsibility of the ruling coalition to find solutions in order to maintain partnership with the United States as our strategic ally. I shared the LDK's stances on dialogue and the need to go to the elections before dialogue to ensure legitimacy.
I have seen that there have been speculations as well as accusations of this encounter; some fools have even described it as treason. They are ignorant of the Fire.
When the state's interest and partnership with the United States is in question, I will talk to everyone, because I trust the LDK programme and spirit. The LDK is not a discomunic party, we are not afraid of meetings because we are loyal to our political pledges.
I have been communicating with Prime Minister Haradinaj for the past few days and with Deputy Prime Minister Limaj. Even earlier with Mr. Kurt. All of us have responsibility for this country, as a position and as an opposition. IM
