The head of the National Initiative for Kosovo Council, Jakup Krasniqi, says flatly against removing the 100 per cent tax on Serbian products. Even, according to him, this tax is delayed and that in the direction of Serbia's aggressive policy, Kosovo has to impose other measures, as well as condition the dialogue.
Cut thinking also has the idea of mending borders with Serbia, where the former prime minister says Kosovo has nothing to give Serbia. He insists that dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia be led by the state delegation voted in the Assembly, not by the president.
Krasniqi in an interview for KosovoPress advises the prime minister to stay behind the tax, as, as he put it, international pressure should be directed to Belgrade rather than Pristina.
I think that Kosovo would have to make other measures and maybe even condition the dialogue, but Kosovo has not conditioned the dialogue... The dialogue should continue on the fact that Kosovo has many reasons to condition dialogue”, Krasniqi says.
Disgusting about tax from the political spectrum, according to Krasniqi, has brought reactions and pressures from the US and Europe. According to him, even more pressure has been put on the inside than international, so he says such a policy did not do the country good.
In relation to Serbia, he says we need political unification.
“I don't believe that the great pressure was either from Europe, they have made demands, I don't see the problem in the request of either the United States or the European Union, I don't see that the Albanian internal unity that the heads of state have the demand to remove, or have suspended the tax, I see the political parties and a party official now the opposition party, its willingness to withdraw the tax, I think these policies don't need Kosovo, in tax report, and in relation to the aggressive policies of Serbia, the political factor in Kosovo, the opposition position needs to have a unified 911 policy, he says.
Krasniqi has cautioned the ruling coalition that decisions they make are common, and there is no division.
Speaking of the idea of correcting the borders that Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has promoted, former Kosovo Parliament Speaker Hashim Thaci makes it clear that Kosovo has nothing to give Serbia, and that changing borders harms Kosovo.
The statements that continue this year on the correction of borders are unnecessary and unacceptable to us... Kosovo and Albanians do not have what it takes to Serbia, they may have what to do, but what to give, not and in all the talks on changing borders for us are unacceptable at the end of the day... Kosovo should be familiar with these boundaries it has given to Serbia, with the limits it has declared independence, with the territorial integrity which also guarantees the Constitution, and with its sovereignty, so that any talk about changing borders is harmful not only for Kosovo, but I think of many other countries of the region, Krasnic says.
Regarding issues on who should lead the talks between Kosovo and Serbia further, Krasniqi insists that Kosovo should be represented by the state delegation for dialogue, led by Fatmir Limaj and Shpend Ahmeti.
Ekip, who is also mandated with the votes of Kosovo parliament deputies.
Haradinaj's position as prime minister has faced dialogue, he has considered it tactical.
The “Talks between Kosovo and Serbia should continue the Government, or now the delegation approved in the Assembly, and that is the government delegation and not the president... . If we compare with the past, the prime minister would actually have to lead the talks, but he has made a perhaps tactical withdrawal, perhaps a compromise between these two state institutions, but now he is the government delegation approved in the Assembly and I think these should lead the talks, the president may have his own role in a period, but the substial talks between Serbia and Kosovo should lead the 48x1> delegation, he declares for Kosovas.
The Law on Dialogue with Serbia, which was voted days ago in the Assembly, Krasniqi considers that a good law, which further legitimises the delegation for talks with Serbia.
Speaking of Maja Kocianqiq's request, Commissioner Federica Moghrini's spokeswoman, who has said the matter of “Treps” must be resolved in Brussels, Jakup Krasniqi stresses that Kosovo's assets should never become part of the talks.
The reaction that all institutions and all political parties have given to that statement that seems to have given the voice to Belgrade, I think it has been reasonable, Kosovo's territory, Kosovo's space, Kosovo's assets should not become part of the talks once again, Kosovo has not what it gives Serbia, Serbia has a lot of obligations to Kosovo, and in the future should actually return all the obligations Serbia has to Kosovo at the negotiating table, and it must fulfil its commitment to<1> says Krasniqi.
We remember that in November 2018, the Kosovo government has imposed a 100 per cent tax on goods of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which sparked numerous reactions from internationals and especially from Americans. But Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has voiced several times against suspending the tax, as he put it, such will happen as Serbia recognises Kosovo.
