The numbers confirm the results of the last three researchs in Europe that show that Jews feel at increased risk, and that they are experiencing more and more aggression, amid a general increase in hateful racist and violent speeches in a much more polarized political environment.
France's interior minister has said last week that anti-Semitic incidents increased to 541 from 311 in 2017, while the German government said these insults had increased alarmingly. Physical attacks from 37 to 62, leaving 43 people in need of medical treatment.
French President Emmanuel Macron denounced the trend as unacceptable “”, telling the ministers of anti-semitism in France was a “coming down from the Republic and its values”.
The report also found that 90% of the residents felt anti-Semiticism was marking growth in their country and that 30% of them were harassed. /Periscopi
