The media have reported his statement, interpreting it as a threat to suspension it, more precisely, as a call for it to be suspended.

In response to this news, however, Jashar seems strange, since even in his original cytatin for the New Age, he said it would be good to suspend him. In the meantime, it remains surprising that Jashar is puzzled by the fact that he has become a viral quote, for there is no reason why he does not.

Read Yasar's complete answer, where he only says that the event would have to be suspended.

There was a part of my interview, for the New Age daily, for her festive number.

More precisely, the issue of the tax on Serbian products. According to the headline of New Age, even of several other portals, I have asked state leaders to withdraw taxes. So, according to the newspaper New Age, that doesn't thoroughly publish my statement on this subject.

But the truth, with my original question and my answer, is this:

“The Republic of Kosovo is now under constant pressure from the United States to remove the tax on Serbian products, to provide continued dialogue opportunities. How should the Government of Kosovo act in this case?

Yasar: I think we're in a difficult position. On one side it should be that Serbia sometimes shows, however, that Kosovo is likely to hit its economy, as is the case with the tax, or the total boycott of its products, while on the other hand we are facing continued US demands, as one of the greatest coniferators of our freedom and independence, for the removal of the tax. However, I think the Government would have to consider the demands that come from our partners, because I wouldn't dare to think that the United States loves us bad. I believe that suspending the tax for a certain time, which would follow clear criteria for continuing dialogue on our part for the Serb side, would be a shooting move, to overcome this situation we are in as a state. That's my opinion, anyway.

This is a full interview.

“Yasar, we are on the 11th anniversary of Kosovo's declaration of independence. With what activities will the Squirrel City Committee mark this anniversary?

Yasar: Historical days, festivals, and specific dates cannot be celebrated primarily with memorial activities for martyrs who sacrificed their lives so that we can live free and independent. And we as a municipality have an official agenda for marking the 11th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, under which there are views at the Memorial Complex “Adem Jashari”, then at the Marie Witnesses' complex, visits to the families of martyrs, disabled and veterans of the Kosovo Liberation Army. However, other cultural, sporting, and other activities will be held so that the citizens of our municipality can enjoy sharing in these varied activities.

“As long as you're mayor. How far have you achieved your goals towards citizens?
Yasar: It's early to meet the targets because there's something more than a year since I took my oath as mayor of the municipality. During the pre-election campaign there are two things I promised them in my government. Full transparency and accountability to citizens. And we already have tangible facts that my governance is based on these two principles of democracy; for the first time, all contracts with economic operators have been made public, and so will continue as long as I am at the helm of the municipality; we have drafted the municipal budget in co-operation with our citizens, as we have held over 15 budgetary hearings in villages, where all capital investments this year will be made according to the demands of citizens who have submitted for investments in their resident areas. The most sensitive work done in this first year has been the process of exhuming and rescinding the martyrs of the Drenica Operative Zone in the Navy, causing us to rescind feelings and pain for those families of martyrs, but I think this whole process has ended well, and that this complex is already more meaningful with all the martyrs of the Drenica Operative Zone. I want to thank all the families of the martyrs with whom we have understanding and cooperation during this sensitive process. There are other actions we have taken and are taking every day of the week, always in the function of economic growth, creation of new jobs, easing unemployment and poverty. Last year we made a decision about the Marina Business Park, which will affect our local economy. When we are in economic growth, within just two months, we have a study and interest in American investors, who have shown interest in investing in Drenica's Feather, a project that costs tens of millions of euros, which will eventually solve the drinking water problem for 200 thousand people, but the agriculture sector will also benefit from the project. These investors have also promised to build a hospital that will serve the entire Drenica region. So, in other words, we've taken action to enable investments from outside or inside, what we've given full assurances and security in any investment that will be made. Some of the projects we have implemented are: the sports range of artificial grass, grass of this kind in the Balkans, we have implemented the revenue growth plan, with a record increase. We've doubled the scholarship budget for students and students. Soon they will start procedures in Procurem to start implementing other capital projects in road infrastructure, within villages, in sewers, water pipelines, social projects, sports, cultural projects, and other investment in good order for citizens. In addition to these efforts, we are softening the issue of homeless families, in good co-operation with the Balkan Living Association, but also with other donors, where more than 10 houses have been built within six months and 30 more weeks will be built.

“How is the Republic of Kosovo finding the 11th anniversary of its declaration of independence?

Yasar: We need to be realistic in this regard. Each of us must assess the achievements so far. Many positive things have happened in this period of 11 years, climaxing with the decision on the Kosovo Army. In retrospect, other good events have been recorded for the country and the people, but should we say that we are very pleased with what the entire period has brought? No, we all understand the possibilities that can become even better, that our well - being as citizens be more satisfying, that we have better employment policies, domestic economic development, equal distribution of material goods, better education, higher food security, and other aspects that directly affect our daily lives. It's very painful to hear, which is to happen every day, to young people, to whom you can see a professional qualifying potential, to take the road to Europe and other more distant countries in search of a better life. On this level, we (the political class leading the country) are to blame. Despite this, I want to believe it's time for the end of the day to deal with these troubles we have as a society.

“During this period of time, do you believe that the state of Kosovo has fulfilled citizens' expectations? And where do you think the biggest jams are?

Yasar: I'm starting this section from the Law for the pay. A part of society, what works in the public sector, can be considered more comfortable, with salary increases. But the private sector is left out. Their level has not improved, creating a kind of deep channel between these two groups of people. Citizens also expect economic development, which in addition to improving the lives of citizens, can stimulate foreign investors to invest in Kosovo. In expectations, the visa liberalisation issue has turned Kosovo into a cage, unfortunately, unjustly isolated from the European Union, whose officials have declared on their own that the criteria that enable visa removal have been met. At this point, even the state has failed in a few segments, or is late to meet the established criteria, which it has penalised and denied the right of every citizen to move freely. There are still unfinished jobs, so that Kosovo can move forward. We desperately need law enforcement, which should be primary, then do what we can in creating policies for foreign investors. I mean, there's an impasse in rule of law, lack of economic development, which produces unemployment, and the extinction of poverty.

“The political show, in the country, has not yet reached a consensus about dialogue with Serbia, though the Parliament has managed to approve the State Delegation for Talks. What is your message about position and opposition on this issue?

Yasar: Since the end of the war as a society we've been dating in this respect, so there has been a lack of unifying the political spectrum in front of major topics, noting the lack of consciousness since Kosovo's vital interests are being questioned, we can't put aside political resentments, which citizens are mostly suffering from. Our common past has witnessed the unification of all Albanians. In this situation, it is not that some bright mind is required to deliver messages to decision-makers; it is the future of Kosovo, it is the future of our children.

“Jashar, from some statements you had in the media, is interpreted that you will be willing to form new political subject, but this thing is then denied by you but leaving open opportunity. Do you think the country needs another new party?

Yasar: It was all misinterpretation of my statement. What I've stated is about the potential need. So, just as my journey to the head of the Scythew municipality has begun, since it was required of citizens, I've long stated and confirmed that, if anything like this is required, I will examine the request. So, it's not like I declared that I would form a party,” writes Jashar on Facebook. /Periscope/
