Nearly a month ago, Mitrovica Mayor Agim Bahtiri filed a petition in the Parliament with about 17 thousand signatures of citizens for the South Mitrovica union with the north, but the same has not yet been addressed at the Parliament's Petition Commission.
Members of this commission say this issue exceeds the commission's capacities, since it is a more serious topic than that, KTV reports.
FreedomKatazi from LDK has said that, in most cases, petitions have served as a tool of daily politics and have not had the proper approach.
She said that those who lead petitions after reaching a political effect on the subject leave them alone.
Meanwhile, Teuta Haxhiu said he is interested in knowing the fate of this petition, until the administration has told him he has gone to the government for a thought.
She wishes that domestic sentiment for united Mitrovica is not euphoria.
Television has asked the Government of Kosovo if the petition is in the government for a thought, but have said this issue belongs only to the Parliament.
Mitrovica leader Agim Bahtiri has expressed confidence that Mitrovica will join within this year.
He has been even tougher in recent statements, saying that if Mitrovica is touched, there will be war.
For uniting this city, Chairman Bahtiri enjoys the support of President Hashim Thaci and Chief Parliamentary Kadri Wessel. /Periscopi
