Of what has been assessed by responsible institutions, the main cause of pollution in Kosovo are thermal power plants, but also the use of coal as fuel.
Last year for such trouble, air pollution had protested in the capital, when air pollution had surpassed all size and Pristina was listed as the world's first capital of dangerous air quality.
