Kosovo among states that keep measuring measles

Fruit is a contagious and serious disease caused by a virus spread through direct contact and through air. Disease can be prevented through two doses of vaccine MMR, which in many countries is available free of charge.

Gorani says that in Kosovo, during 2014-2015, up to 3 percent of anti-fruit vaccines had fallen, due to the spread of some news believed to be false, in which, “waxin caused autism”.

As a result of the decline in the number of vaccines, Gorani says that the consequences had been observed a few years later when during the first two months of 2018, at the Infectious Clinic of the University Clinical Centre of Kosovo, more than a thousand patients have been extended for treatment with clinical signs of measles.

Infectologist Sali Ahmeti tells Radio Free Europe, that although there have been huge numbers of fruit-affected patients last year, no case had ended fatally.

Given concerns about the harmful side effects of vaccines, epidemiologist Isme Humolli explains that vaccines against measles, according to all research done, did not result in side effects.

According to her, all scientific research and references that are so far prove that there is no link between vaccine and autism.

The fruit this year has been restored to four European countries, which were previously clean from this disease, has announced the World Health Organization (OBSH).

According to WHO, the disease is no longer considered eradicated in Albania, the Czech Republic, Greece and Great Britain.

At the Ministry of Health, Faik Hoti, director of the Department of Information, at the same time a public health specialist, says that along with the National Institute of Public Health, a special emphasis is being placed on Kosovo's expanded immunization programme.

Some 365,000 measles reported worldwide this year, has announced O BSH, which means the figures are nearly three times higher than in the first half of 2018.
