German prosecutors said they have accused a man from Kosovo of supporting the militant Islamic State group (IS) in Syria.
The suspect, identified only as Hasan B., was charged in Hamburg on December 4th, federal prosecutors said Monday.
According to their statement, he is in custody since he was arrested in June.
Prosecutors said Hasan B. It is accused of supporting the terrorist foreign organisation Islamic State, facilitating the transfer of funds to a Syrian fighter for eleven times in 2016 and 2017.
He is also accused of transferring money to a Macedonian citizen in 2015 to help him travel to Syria to fight alongside the Islamic State.
Also in 2015, the accused is said to have opened an account for a member of the Islamic State on the social network Facebook, helping him spread the extremist group's propaganda.
The statement gives no more details.
Since 2012, about 400 Kosovo citizens have gone to Syria and Iraq to fight on the side of the Islamic State. Tens of them have been killed.
