KOK marks 5th anniversary of KON membership

The Kosovo Olympic Committee will mark today the most historic day of Kosovo sports, which broke the long-term isolation of sports.

December 9th 2014 will remain in the history of Kosovo's sports -- the date that marked the membership of the Kosovo Olympic Committee on the International Olympic Committee.

In this case, the KOK organises the evening for the 5th anniversary of KOK membership in the KON.

To honor the KOK, on this particular day, numerous National Olympic Committee presidents will arrive in Kosovo today.

At Galla evenings they will be present: Krisztian Kulssar, president of Hungary's Olympic Committee, Mihail Claudio Covaliu, president of Romania's KO, Bogdan Gabrovec, president of Slovenia's KO, Vasil Tupurkovski, president of the North Macedonia's Koo, Dusan Simonovic, president of Montenegro's KO and Viron Bezhani, president of Albania's Ko.

Another senior guest is Emmanuel Macedo de Medeiros, president of the Global Alliance of Sports Integrity (SIGA) accompanied by Claire Disdale.

In addition, the country's highest political figures will be present, as well as those from sports, art and culture.

The KOK joined the KON at the 127th session held in Monaco, which had later opened the way to sports federations in the country to participate in the respective international federations.
