Israel will hold new general elections on March 2nd 2020.
These will be the third elections in less than a year, as parliament decided to spread as a result of the inability to form the new government.
None of the political parties managed to form a parliamentary majority for forming the government.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Liquid's party, and that white and blue of the former general, Benny Gantz, held talks on the possibility of a broad coalition, but failed to reach reconciliation.
The upcoming elections, however, will be held under the shadow of an indictment of corruption against Prime Minister Netanyah, who was declared last month.
Netanyah, 70, has accused legal authorities of trying a “state”.
Critics claimed Netanyahu was trying to undermine the rule of law and establish an election campaign theme portraying himself as the victim of the plot.
As prime minister, Netanyahu has no legal obligation to resign as a result of the indictment, and while in office, he may seek immunity from prosecution.
Netanyah will remain in the post until a new government is formed a process that could last several months after the March elections.
