The two winning parties in the 6 October elections have not yet reached the deal on forming the new government.
For the former coalition party The PAN non-recognition of the Vetevendosje Movement with the Democratic League of Kosovo has spread their struggle for power, not the desire to get the country out of institutional paralysis.
Thus, even if the government is formed by the LDK's LVV, the former rulers stress that it will have short life.
Albulen Balaj, from the Social Democrat Initiative, which will be part of the seventh legislature of the Kosovo Parliament as deputy of this party, has criticised Vetevendosje for its approach “leading to” in reaching the coalition agreement.
In response to “Zerin” Balaj has indicated that with these types of behaviour the country can go back to the elections.
“LVV is never used to giving, just stupid. Every deal has demands on both sides, so you don't always have to look at yourself, but also the other side, if you normally want a deal. If you don't want a deal, then you start fighting for something that doesn't even exist. The LVV is not ready to take responsibility, so it is creating new situations that are sending us into the” elections, she has declared.
The efforts between LVV's LDK to get President Balaj compared to the satirical work of Miguel de Cervantes “Don Kisoti”, where the hero of the work imaginaryly tries to achieve his goals.
According to her, the possession of this position by these parties may be considered unrealistic, because it will not be achieved without approval or without the opposition's future quorum.
In this case, it seems that LVV and LDK are fighting for a position that neither one nor the other will be able to achieve without some additional opposition votes or if not votes, at least without their presence. That's how Don Quixote made it. They're opening fronts for something they can't have. The president can't have either one or the other without us, so their dispute over the president is something they have created for other purposes”, she said.
