Gjergji criticised the EU for visas

He has said that some European family members judge Albanians for cultural surpluses, while having to help get out of the past.

At the Christmas reception ceremony by the Kosovo Bishop, who joined the leaders of institutions, political parties, diplomats of Kosovo-accredited QUINT countries and leaders of the Islamic Community of Kosovo, Dode Gjergji said that within God's house all are the same.

I thank God for the opportunity he gives us, to celebrate this Christmas holiday together, at this solemn moment, with Kosovo's chief mufti Naim Ternav, with the president, with the visiting prime ministers, with all the ambassadors, various representatives of institutions, because we really discern when we go out maybe, but when we enter into this house of God, then we don't distinguish from each other, because here we examine each other's soul only and offer him heart. Actually this is Christmas message”, said Dode Gjergji, Ksp reports.

He conveyed part of his Christmas message, citing Albanians' distrust of a better life, and discrimination that European Union countries are making to Kosovo, leaving it isolated without free movement.

I can't say that it's not strange but painful at the same time, that everywhere Albanians live, it feels a kind of collective distrust for a better future. And it is evident that some restrain the processes that lead to this purpose, and on the other hand, there is not a lack of those who presumptuously want to lead us to the fates that have set out for us. This time becomes even more meaningless when some members of the European family, instead of helping us or getting us out of the past, judge us for cultural surpluses and push us into hybrid initiatives, viewing us as a different ethnicity than those”, he said.

Dode Gjergji also mentioned the disaster that took place last month in Albania, where the earthquake that struck the country left dozens dead, hundreds injured, and many families homeless.

Here he thanked all the people who helped Albania by providing assistance.
