Muharrem Beka, chairman of the Kosovo fire union, has confirmed that Kosovo firefighters do not have the right working conditions.
In an interview in the eyes of Kosovo's Klan, he said they lack equipment, are without health services, as well as have not been addressed with the issue of cofficiency leveling.
Beka stressed that they have raised their voices several times to meet their demands, but they have not received answers.
We have been meeting with Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj three times, but nothing has happened. Then we had the protests, which we stopped because we were told that in two months this matter would be settled. Then there was another protest where the Government made the decision to allocate 600 thousand euros for additional hours, only for 2018<18x1>, he said.
But firefighters now feel indignant because they were not involved in the decision the government made yesterday to compensate for additional hours.
Beka said they will continue to address their demands to the institutions and that they are now waiting for the new government.
