However, the latter, who come from the ranks of the Serbian List, which in the October 6th early parliamentary elections in Kosovo has received the majority of the Serb community's votes, declaratively denying the state of Kosovo.
The Vetevendosje Movement, which has come first with votes won in the 6 October elections and is aiming to establish a ruling coalition with the Democratic League of Kosovo, has ruled out the possibility of involvement in a coalition of government and government. Serbian list.
However, it has indicated that it will respect the Constitution of Kosovo, when it comes to representation of Serbian community to rule the country.
Mimoza Kusari-Lila, part of the Vetevendosje Movement Parliamentary Group, which will be in the new composition of the Kosovo Assembly, tells Radio Free Europe that the rules of the game for participation in the Government of Kosovo, but also in other institutions in the country, are clear.
As she says, in each institution are the coatings of the Republic of Kosovo, which should be respected and all decisions made according to the rules, law and Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo. These rules, according to it, will be subject to them appointed political representatives, who verbally deny the state of Kosovo and feed language, which, as she says, has been present in Kosovo since the time of Slobodan Milosevic's regime.
So, from the formal aspect, such as the coating, the inscriptions, the incoming letters or go, the ministry's correspondence, or even the minister's cabinet, to law enforcement. No one can or should be in such a position, appointed, if he denies or ignores the existence of the Republic of Kosovo”, says Kusari-Lila.
Serbian politician from Gracanica, Rada Trajkovic, former Kosovo Assembly President, speaking of Radio Free Europe, says participation or not Political representatives The Serb community in the Government of Kosovo, because they do not recognise the state of Kosovo, according to her, should not be the issue that should prevent Kosovo's construction in order for everyone to live there free.
According to her, the Serb community has no choice but to participate in Kosovo institutions, including Government.
In case Serbia's state would like Serbs not to be part of institutions (in Kosovo), it would have to declare Kosovo occupied. The understanding has its principles and ways of functioning. Given that he has not done so, it is perfectly normal that within these institutions Serbs will participate, without violation of rights. For me, that's the key, because even if I was forced to accept the state that doesn't view me as an equal citizen, that would be a problem”, says Trajkovic.
However, Kusari-Lila says that the so-called experiences have shown that, in most cases, the political representatives of the Serb community, despite unbelieving rhetoric, in practice have not denied the state of Kosovo.
I am convinced that in private, they all know that the existence of the state of Kosovo is an undeniable fact. Of course, it is done for political consumption what is considered to still be postponed as the delegation of Kosovo citizenship. However, no one who has any problems with the self-existence of the state of Kosovo should aim or claim to hold office within the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo”, Kusari-Lila estimates.
But, Trajkovic estimates that in the current situation, it is difficult for the Serb community and its political representatives to impose the feeling for Kosovo to see as an independent state. According to her, however, the future cannot be predicted completely.
At the time of democracy and freedom, for people it will be totally insignificant which land they tread when they walk and what they call the space in which they live, because no one will recognise him only as a Serb and he can satisfy their rights. He can live and express himself completely freely. Then, life on political orientation wins, whether you are for independence or any other status of Kosovo”, Trajkovic points out.
She adds that Kosovo Albanians should see their experience from the past, when state institutions Serbia They were not recognized as equal citizens.
This situation, she felt, had led to conflicts and wars, as well as to the quest for independence project, as a way of solving the problem of their living.
If they treat us like second-class citizens, then who will accept such a state as their own?
So far, in some cases, in previous Kosovo governments, there have been cases of dismissals of specific Serbian community representatives from ministers' posts, due to legal and constitutional violations, as well as denial of the state of Kosovo.
Kosovo Government's acting prime minister, in April, has dismissed Minister of Local Power Administration from duty, Ivan Todosijevich. On March 25th, he was also relieved of the deputy justice minister, Vesna Mikic. Earlier, the Minister of Agriculture Nenad Ricalo had also been relieved of his duties.
In 2014, former Prime Minister Isa Mustafa had then fired Minister for Communities and Kthim Aleksandar Jablanovic.
