Environment ministry seeks municipalities ban on fireworks

With the aim of protecting air from pollution and protection of citizens' health, incumbent Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning Fatmir Matoshi, through an official letter to Kosovo mayors, has called for the ban on lighting fireworks and pyrotechnic means during the weekend holidays, in public spaces and residential areas.

This demand is due to air pollution and the effects that the pyrotechnics cause in human health and in the environment.
