St. John Properties, a real estate firm in Mid-Atlantic, said the award was in celebration of his goal to develop 20 million square metres of space for office, store and storage in eight states.
The surprise Bonus was announced by the founder and chairman Edward St. John at the company's annual festival in Baltimore on Saturday.
The grateful boss said: “to celebrate the achievement of our goal, we wanted to reward our employees in a great way that would affect their lives”.

The company said the average employee will receive $50,000, but the amount will be based only on service years.
