Remember, there's been a number of problems with planes 173. Max and the Starliner space shuttle.
David Calhoun will take over the post of Boeing director on January 13th 2020, CNN reports.
He has been the director since 2015.
Boeing announced that the board of directors has decided to change the leadership needed to restore confidence in the company, which seeks to regulate relations with regulators, customers and other shareholders.
Muilenburg became director of Boeing in July 2015. Boeing 737 Max, who was supposed to be that company's main commercial jet, left the supply after two fatal clashes.
Moreover, the spacecraft, which was supposed to run NASA astronauts at the international space station, had defects in its first space flight.
