Angela Merkel defends her decision of migration

“I believe Germany has helped many people in need and that an effort has been made by all society to achieve this”, Merkel told the German parliament today.

Merkel stressed that the federal government has worked for the organisation and control of migration and will continue to do so.

She added that the figures have shown that work has not been in vain but productive.

Merkel also stressed that, as Chancellor, she is co-aware of political events in the country.

“I am also very happy to hold this important post”, she added.
