In its announcement, the Treasury Department Foreign Asset Control Office stresses that, based on the existing legal framework, this decision targets companies, which have committed serious abuses of human rights or are involved in corrupt links.
Slobodan Tasic, the weapons producer, who has been on the UN blacklist for decades because of violations of the rules and arms export regulations, has a prominent position in the DATH communiqué. Within the framework of sanctioned entities include a variety of Serbian companies and several individuals of origin from Serbia who associate with Tessic.
As a result of this decision, all properties and interests on property of the assigned entities on the list in question, which are in the U.S., should be reported to the Office for Foreign Asset Control, and all transactions between them and persons or companies in the US are effectively prohibited.
