When he appeared at the speaker to propose Glauk Konjufka for Speaker of the Parliament, Albin Kurti surprised everyone.
Isa Mustafa responded immediately, gave him LDK's votes for him, and surprised them all.
In what seemed like a chess game, each thought he won with chess-mats.
But, this political thriller, held Thursday, has turned the efforts of Vetevendosje and the Democratic League of Kosovo for building the government, into what the two parties had pledged after the 6 October elections, temporarily turning the two leaders into losers rather than winners.
Reports between the two political subjects have clearly been deeply hurt and trust has fallen to zero.
According to what Isa Mustafa has stated, all agreements reached so far between Vetevendosje and LDK have fallen completely into the water.
At the other political end, election winner Albin Kurti, in a situation where he no longer has confidence in his partner who would enable him to climb to the Office of the Prime Minister, is not taking his feet to the Presidencys to receive the mandate.
Alone, he already has only one solution: to open the package for the LDK, being unconditionally subject to it, in order to enable the agreement to reach. This seems to be a necessary submission to dignity.
Sources say Vetevendosje is ready to surrender to LDK requirements, while the next shopping camp has increased.
However, this may not assure him of the realization of the dream to lead the Government of Kosovo.
In the LDK, sources say, they feel insulted by Thursday's act, when Albin Kurti unilaterally cast Glauk Konjufka in the vote for the post of Chief Parliamentary, which was experienced as a knife to the back for LDK and also caused a major blow to the possible agreement for co-governance.
Isa Mustafa, however, has not closed all roads.
When it gets to the bridge, then it's positioned as if it had crossed the bridge... We look at and do”, he has declared, following the Kosovo Assembly Constitution.
Currently, neither side talks about whether there will be a new meeting, perhaps even a final attempt at agreement.
