Former Kosovo Democratic Party President, indicted in the case “Proto”, Adem Grabovci in his final address, has said that public and moral punishment has been served but and that his innocence has been confirmed even by the special prosecutor's words that, according to him, has in many cases contradicted himself.
And I've been silent here for three years, not why I haven't had anything to say, but because I've wanted to believe in the relevant institution and I believe in the right, what was true here even during this trial even by the prosecutor's own words, whether in the opening word or in the final, that in many cases it has come against myself, Grabovci said.
Along with Grabovci, in this case former Minister of Innovation and Intervention, Besim Beqaj, former deputet The PDK, Zenun Pajaziti, and eight other accused, reports “Justice Vow”.
At Monday's session, Grabovci has said there must be a damaged side and what it has gained to exist for a criminal offence.
And even in the opening word I asked you to at least do me a favor, a witness that may say I denied anyone's rights, I would then have agreed, but this has never been testified and will never be testified. I say with deep conviction that I have 40 years of full activity that I have worked hard, for good, for the welfare of this people, not expected an institution in my country to accuse me of having violated anyone's right. I expected the prosecution to tell me which law I violated”, Grabovci said.
On the other hand, accused Adem Grabovci said this charge is political, referring to statements by Chief State Prosecutor Alexander Lumez and former chief prosecutor of the Constitutional Pristina Imer Beka in question.
He mentioned the same statements to his protector, attorney Florent Latifaj.
“Aleksander Lumezi in an interview says there is no further investigation into the “Proto” case because these surveillances have been subject to investigations by another prosecutor, while Imer Beka said “chudden that one issue should start with a procedure and end in another” ” procedure, Latifaj said.
In the final address, attorney Florent Latifaj said that to misuse an official position, you must have one and that his client did not.
To misuse an official position, you must have that office. We've come into a situation that the prosecutor doesn't prove anything, we should also propose witnesses to prove the opposite of what the prosecution claims”, Latifaj said at Monday's hearing held in this case.
In his final address, lawyer Latifaj has stated that nothing has been proved in this case except that some people have spoken on the phone.
There was nothing possible to prove, except that some people talked on the phone, but they're not official who could influence the employment of different persons that someone else at the end decided to continue the” mandates, he said.
Latifaj has said his defense is accused of twice committing the criminal act of violating the equal status of citizens and residents of the Republic of Kosovo and seven times remaining on the bid, which, according to him, must be committed and not remain on the offensive.
Some elements must be fulfilled. This work must be accomplished, not by an attempt, not by a person who has not been able to influence. If it's considered attempting phone conversations, we have serious problems meeting the key elements to commit this constitutional act”, Latifaj said.
Grabovci's lawyer said his client has had no function to influence, as according to him, Grabovci has not been part of any candidate selection commission, reports “Justice Vowtim”.
In the end, the lawyer has asked the court to take over Grabovci's legal act, since according to him, otherwise the court will create a dangerous judicial practice and a dangerous practice for the citizens of this country.
Otherwise, in May of this year, the Court of Appeals has rejected the complaints of defence attorneys, thus ending the indictment filed by the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo (PSRK).
