Abelard Tahiri: The judiciary has received a new and meaningful dimension over the past two years

Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri has participated in the 9th Annual Conference of the Kosovo Judiciary”, with which he has said rule of law is the subject of national character exceeding its policy and everydayity. “Society expects full and uncompetitive commitment to empower rule of law and justice. “The society expects full and uncompetitive commitment to empowering rule of law and to the justice in which all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo believe. Rule of law is the subject of national character, exceeding its policy and everydayity. Therefore, you are the immunity of the legitimate state, you are the guarantee of equality before law, independence and division of powers, and the trust of citizens in justice depends exclusively on your independent work”.
Speaking of the justice system in Kosovo, Minister Tahiri said the judiciary has had substantial developments and has received a new and significant dimension over the past two years, thus citing the extent of judicial authority across the territory of the Republic of Kosovo, the Kosovo broadcasts.
When I was appointed justice minister, the country's 4 northern municipalities, they were still not part of our judicial system. Today, a supreme judicial authority is implemented in each city and in each part of the territory of the Republic of Kosovo, offering services and implementing justice for all citizens of the country without exception, as Constitution” has defined.
Minister Tahiri also cited increasing the number of judges and professional collaborators, increasing their salaries and independence and functioning of the judiciary over the period of two years.
All of these are the derivatives of the real institutional dialogue that we've had, of public policies as well as laws that I as minister have been engaged for over the last two years”.
Among other things, Minister Tahiri indicated that even on the practical level has been characterised by the joint work of justice institutions over the past two years.
“Through the legal level, we have enabled the establishment of the Special Department in the Pristina Foundation Court, as well as the re-entering Special Chamber in the Supreme Court. We have jointly launched the major reform in the justice system, the Functional Review of the Rule of Law Sector, which is now in conclusion and will provide the justice system, its unique character and identity”.
The first justice dictatorship, Tahiri, said a good job has been noted even in reducing outstanding materials, has increased the performance of the justice system, along with institutional obligations for literal co-ordination in this sector, which according to him has been achieved with the joint agenda, Justice 2020.
“All these measures, have left clues to citizens' everydayity, have left traces on the consolidation of the judiciary's power and, of course, have also left traces in local and international reports”.
Before those present, Tahiri said that along with legislation directly speaking about the judiciary, measurable progress has been noted in other regulations, which facilitate the work of judges.
